Băile Herculane: Hiking trails

1. Herculane Spa (Neighbourhood Zavoi) - Plateau and Spring Coronini - Cracu lui Arendasu - Glade with pears.
Marking: red dot
Duration: 2-2 1/2 hours
Accessibility: in the months without snow and requires a special effort.
Coronini Plateau is located at 218 m altitude, is a large meadow, sloping light, with large meadows and patches of heath. From Plateau Coronini, following marks, reach his Cracu Arendasu, a surface covered with beech, from there is not much to Glade with Pears.

2. Herculane Spa (Neighbourhood Zavoi)- plateau Coronini - Chioscul de jos - Spring Diana.
Marking: blue dot (dot red and yellow at first)
Duration: 1-1/2 hours

3. Herculane Spa (Quarter Zavoi) - Spring Coronini - Spring Munk - Spring Diana III.
Marking: yellow point;
Duration: 2-2 1/2 hours
Accessibility: all year round, preferably summer to take advantage of forest coolness.
The route is to two cold springs from the right side of the Cerna Valley: Coronini and Munk. On the way and run with a pine woods where the winding road down to Spring Munk.

4. Herculane Spa (Spring Diana III) - Spring Munk - Peak Jubilee - Pk. Doda. Spring Pk. Ciorici-Munk
Marking: yellow point, partly yellow stripe and red triangle. Duration: 3 1 - 4 hours.
Accessibility: all year round, but summer indicated.
Ciorici Peak offers a kiosk for rest and a large belvedere.

7. Herculane Spa - Waterfall Vanturatoarea - Glade Cicilovete
Marking: Red Cross (junction with Scochina - Glade Cicilovete).
To reach the waterfall Vanturatoarea, enter the route at km 12 of road Herculane Spa - Bath Arama. From the concrete bridge over ro the waterfall Vanturatoarea it's a three hours round-trip. The stream turns into a fine rain after falling from about 40 m on a perfectly vertical wall. After more than an hour climb you can reach the peak Cicilovete Glade (1143m).
